Ashton Court is a vast park and is situated close to the city centre of Bristol. Covering over 800 acres of park, gardens and woodland, Bristol's Ashton Park has many attractions, including a grand mansion, a café, nature trails, a golf course, a miniature railway, large expanses of open grass, views of Bristol, herds of red deer and a large amount of other wildlife.
Every year, Ashton Park is home to many of Bristol's largest and most popular festivals, including the famous Bristol Balloon Fiesta, the Bristol Kite Festival, the Bristol Community Festival and the North Somerset Show.

Portishead Lake Grounds are situated on the River Severn estuary and this is one of Bristol's most popular and scenic parks. The grounds are full of an enormous range of attractions, including spectacular views of the estuary and the busy Avonmouth docks, a pebbled beach area, a boating lake with rowing boats, picnic areas, woodland areas with a large amount of wildlife, nature trails and tennis courts.

The University of Bristol Botanic Gardens are situated in the Clifton area of Bristol, in Leigh Woods, close to the Clifton Suspension Bridge. These large Victorian gardens feature many interesting collections of plants, including greenhouses with cacti, succulents, orchids and carnivorous plants. The University of Bristol Botanic Gardens are home to almost 5,000 different species of plants and have a number of different gardens, such as the productive kitchen garden and the attractive alpine rock garden.
